Yesterday I read in the news about a man who bears the tattoo 666 and claims to be Jesus. He has thousands of followers and he says that "the tattoo, like the Antichrist, is misunderstood." How awful that he is paving the way for the Antichrist to be accepted.
This however sparked a conversation with c0-workers about faith.
I have surrendered my tongue to God to be used to speak His Living Word. I hope that the words that were spoken were good seed. I pray that the soil will be tilled and watered regularly. I pray for a good crop that is pleasing to the Lord and gives Him glory.
Sunshyne's blog had a wonderful scripture that I love: (Galatians 2:20) "I have been crucified with Christ, my Lord and Savior; it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME..."
Discovering my purpose.....I do know there is a war afoot and I do not take it lightly. But I feel my purpose is to be the nurse who roams the battlefield to pray for the fallen, encourage the fighting, and help the those struggling.
I do this to serve my Lord and please Him. I give Him the Glory.
"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. ...But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Galatians 5:16,22,25

Shim-Sham
I truly love and appreciate great music. I have had many different influences in my life.
My mom who loves good ol' rock and roll (the Beatles, Herman's Hermits, Huey Lewis, Elvis, Carlos Santana ... to name a few).
My Texas roots that lend me to country (Charlie Daniels Band, George Strait, Reba, Johnny Cash, Eddie Rabbitt ... ditto)
My past relationships that exposed me to foreign imports, techno, hard rock (now classics, haha), and on and on.
J, the Shim-Sham man and Band of Sams, played a great guitar and I think I love music more because of him. I thank you Shim-Sham man and your Band of Sams! Where ever you fellas are in this small world, I hope you are all successful, happy, and playing your hearts out. I look forward to the reunion tour. I hope to have backstage access!
New favorite
I just saw the movie "Facing the Giants"
WOW!!!! I don't think I cried this much in Steel Magnolias and I cried all the time in that one (though for completely different reasons)!
I have got to go out and buy this movie and watch it every day.
First (and in no paticular order), it is about football, and I love football!
Second, it is about our Almighty Father, and Lord knows I love Him!!!
Talk about a great underdog story and giving God the Glory... this was 2 thumbs up and 2 big toes too!!!!

Family love
I must say that I love my "church family"! What wonderful fellowship I have with them. They are witty and charming. They are wise and tender. They are musical and hysterical. What more can one ask for??? Food! They can cook. We have such a wonderful and delicious and diverse spread.

Shall we start with our founders: Gill and Angi are Absolutely Fabulous, darling! Two warm and witty souls found each other in the vast expanses of Internet and formed a family that makes our Heavenly Father smile.
Moving on to our resident bachelor Doug. Truly, I asked myself how is this man still single. He plays guitar, looks smashing, loves the Lord, has gorgeous green eyes and a great smile. [...more to come]
Richard is our prayer warrior and local handyman. He too is looking for his helpmeet. He has a heart for God and hunger for His Word - Amen!!!
Sunshyne & Chris!!! Sunshyne - doesn't that just say it all! She is a ray of light to me. One that warms my spirit and fills me with joy. Her friendship and fellowship is precious to me. [read more on her link]. Chris is a Godly man who does well by his family. He is a wise council and respected amongst our Godly body.
Then there is our minstrel, Bryan. He is absolutely spreading God's Word to the four corners with a song in his heart and a little guitar in tow. He is missed while he is away but our prayers are with him in his journeys.
Chris and Dawn are next. Dawn is a woman of virtue who does well by her family. Chris is growing in his walk with Christ and I am so proud of them both!
William is our soon to be famous aurthor who will be leaving us to visit family. We pray for him in his journey in life and that he grow strong in the Lord and the Lord in him. Thank you Jesus!
Can you believe it? How great it all is! Well next week, I am taking pictures to prove it. Everyone will want to join.
