Trisa

My aunt Trisa has always been such a sweet person, always sending birthday cards and greeting cards for every holiday or occasion. She is usually always cheerful and laughing. I have been praying for her joy.

Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

As I prayed for Trisa, an image of a beautiful tree came to me.

This tree was in a garden protected by a gate and wall that read:

"Come in by the Gold Gate or not at all

Take of my Fruit for others or forbear

For those who steal or those who climb my wall

Shall find their hearts desires and find despair"

(This is from the Magician's Nephew written by C.S. Lewis in the Chronicles of Narnia) The garden was full of trees whose "leaves showed not only green but blue and silver" and with air so "sweet that it almost brought the tears to your eyes." In the center of this beautiful and precious garden is a tree full with great silver apples and cast light of their own down on the shadowy places. {Now if you know this book, or soon read it, there was someone there in the garden who did not cherish and respect the garden as they should have.}

In my image, a gluttonous man (who represents all those who would steal your joy) was carelessly and sloppily eating of her fruit, casting it off in discard and plucking more fruit as if it had no value.

Trisa, my prayer was for your tree garden to be protected. For you and the fruit you bear in the Spirit to be respected and cherished. That He would let no one climb your fence to rob you of your joy. That He would be your Guardian, and not allow you to be taken for granted. That you could have joy and find peace to forgive those who hurt you. Surrender them to the Lord and let Him work on their hearts.

....One of my favorite passages is Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

If I surrender myself to God, then He has my heart and protects me. If I desire Him above all else in my life, He will provide for me.

Bryan

About a week ago I said I had a prayer for Bryan. I wanted to write it out and share it with you. But first we must start from the beginning....

Some months ago my fellowship family did prayer posters for each other. We asked what was on each person's heart to be prayed for and then read scriptures that supported the prayer request. Then we wrote out the prayer and scripture on a poster board. Bryan was away in Hawaii at the time but he had been in touch and we knew what was on his heart. His prayer poster was beautiful, eloquent, powerful and moving. I loved reading his poster and I want to share it with all of you to read it in agreement over Bryan.

It is inspired by Isaiah 54:17 and makes mention of Galatians 6:10-20 (as well as a few others);

"No weapon formed by the enemy shall prosper against Bryan, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus, and by the faith in Jesus, Son of God, and by the stripes borne by Jesus, Bryan in healed. Bryan wears the full armour of God! The Master has found His servant Bryan at the ready, prepared, with all diligence and pure hands and has entrusted to him great responsibility and wealth."

Isn't that wonderful and powerful?!?!?!

So a few weeks ago I was praying for Bryan (who is still in Hawaii) and I had images of rainbows which made me think of God's promises. Then He gave me Psalm 23 to pray for Bryan and here is the prayer I was given:

"The Lord is Bryan's shephard and with the Lord, Bryan shall not want. Our Heavenly Father maketh Bryan to lie down in green pastures and our Lord leads Bryan beside still waters and restores Bryan's soul! {AMEN} The Lord guides Bryan in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea though Bryan walks in the valley of the shadow of death, he will fear no evil for thou, Father, are with him. Lord, you are Bryan's rod and staff to comfort him. You prepare a table before Bryan in the presence of his enemies: You anoint Bryan's head with oil and his cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow Bryan all his days and he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever"

~Bryan, thank you again for your prayer for me. Be blessed in your life because God is leading your path and please be sure to stay in touch.

Prayer Language

As I was reading Sunshyne's blog last week, she wrote an article entitled "Jodi". I was so thrilled and touched that she had said such wonderful things about me and our friendship. She has inspired me to do something similar.

While I haven't been blogging, I have been journeling and doing my bible study. I have been having wonderful prayers that give me vivid images (or imagery) for the person I am praying for. I want to share those with my readers in hope that they would pray them with me in agreement for that person.

Please let me know if you have anything on your heart to share, add, affirm or needs prayer for. God bless you all!

Hello everyone. YES, I am alive! I am so sorry that I haven't updated my blog in some time. I know my loyal readers are chomping at the bit for my next entry. I do apologize for not being consistant lately. I have been journeling and doing my bible study. I have lots to comment on but just have been preparing for my big move. So!!! What have been up to?

Packing and packing and packing and packing.....(you get it)

Out-processing the military....(praise the King of Kings!!!)

Praying and Praying and Praying and Praying..... (Amen!)

Speaking of praying, before I go on, I have to give a "shout out" to Bryan. Bryan, first I must thank you for your amazing words. I loved your prayer. So I have one for you. Last night I was literally moved to run through the house, get my bible, flip to Psalm 23, through my hands in the air and shout praise and healing for none other than you! You are covered my friend! You are loved and lifted high. I praise the Heavenly Father for giving me such a phenomenal and moving prayer for you.

Well, kids, I really have to finish up the last box so I will sign off but stay tuned.
